Wisconsin Geographic Information Coordination Council (WIGICC)
Statewide Network Meeting
Tuesday, October 28th, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Radisson Paper Valley Hotel, 333 West College Ave, Appleton
On Tuesday, October 28th (9:00 am - 4:00 pm) a meeting will occur in Appleton (Radisson Paper Valley Hotel) that will have an impact on the future of Geographic Information (GIS) in Wisconsin. This meeting may be of interest to you and others in your organization.
The interim Wisconsin Geographic Information Coordination Council (WIGICC) is a newly formed group serving as a primary forum and statewide coordinating body for geographic information. WIGICC recently held its first meeting on September 23rd. We are now ready to "kick-off" another critical component of WIGICC, a vibrant statewide stakeholder "Network." The Network will identify issues and make recommendations to the Council on actions and policies relating to statewide initiatives. We envision that the Network will reach into new interest areas such as emergency management, health care, resource management, and education.
We would be pleased to have you and others from your organization join us in Appleton to learn more about WIGICC, and how you can actively participate in statewide GIS coordination efforts.
